SouthTech is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide technology service and support to external SouthTech clients. Systems Engineers assist in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of client networks and are responsible for incoming reactive and proactive services requests. Work performed will be both onsite at client offices, and remote from SouthTech’s service desk, and will include tests/evaluations of network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. System Engineers work both independently and as part of a team to address client submitted service requests, analyzing technical issues promptly, and working to resolve service team Level 1 escalations. The position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, working under the supervision of a team lead or manager.
